Spanish Language and Culture in Segovia

This Spanish Language and Culture in Segovia program allows you to immerse yourself in Spanish language studies at the second or third year level. Students at the second year level have the option of the summer, Fall semester, or Maymester. Students at the third year level have the option of the summer, Fall semester, Spring semester, Spring quarter, or Maymester.

Students at the second year level hoping to study in Segovia for the Spring quarter are encouraged to visit our Intermediate Spanish Immersion in Segovia program page.

You will improve your Spanish language skills in this impressively historical and picturesque city, while being only 25 minutes by high-speed train from Spain's capital, Madrid. In addition, you live in a homestay which further supports your immersion into Spanish society and culture. You will attend courses at the GEO Center with other American students from all over the US, yet also have the opportunity to fully experience local culture and explore friendships with Segovians. You can participate in tandem language learning activities with local university students or do an internship at a local business or organization. Excursions to neighboring sites of importance and other group activities are included in the program.

GEO program fees cover tuition, housing and some meals, excursions, books and course materials, and on-site orientation. Insurance and a 24-hour emergency service are also included. For information on scholarship funding, please visit the Scholarships page on our website.
