The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s oldest universities and is ranked in the top 50 globally. Located about five miles outside the center of Brisbane, UQ's picturesque sandstone courtyard leads into a campus with its own parkland, lakes, and sporting grounds - a great setting for the many student clubs and societies.

Ranked the top institute in Australia in the Nature Index 2018, UQ is a world leader in STEM fields such as mineral and mining engineering, bio-technology, marine science, biology, and mathematics and it has a top-notch AACSB-accredited business school. UQ also offers a wide range of courses related to Australia in English, history, political science, and sociology faculties and the school ranks at number three globally in sports-related subjects. You'll find advanced research laboratories, inspiring academics, and a campus culture that is conducive to academic debate and discovery.

Arcadia Australia offers a wonderful array of excursions and activities impacted by the location of your program to bring you unique experiences. These excursions and activities range from urban locations, coastal regions, rural bushlands, rainforests, and tropical islands. They provide you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture, environment, traditions, and with the people of these places. You will try new foods, learn new skills, explore incredible places, and learn about the Indigenous peoples of Australia.

Our staff will help you look beneath the surface of everyday life and begin to understand what it means to be Australian. While we encourage you to engage with the culture through your course options, there’s also a world of learning beyond the classroom. All Arcadia excursions are designed to be fun and interactive learning opportunities. We’ll open the doors, but it’s up to you to grasp the opportunity and enjoy a life-changing experience.
